About Us

If you have an interest in gardens, gardening and history, you will be amongst friends! We hope that you will find our meetings and talks interesting and engaging and we always welcome new members.

Please note that due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, all current talks will be via Zoom for the time being. Planned visits for 2021 will be rescheduled as soon as circumstances allow. 

Our rescheduled AGM is on Monday 11th January 2021 at 19:30 via Zoom. All currently paid up members are entitled to vote and are encouraged to attend.

If you are not already a member of DHGT and would like to join the meeting please contact either Elizabeth Walker or Caroline Pollard (details on Contact Us page). All are welcome!

DHGT members who are able to participate will be sent a link to join, closer to the date.

Usual venue (pre-Covid restrictions): The Strutt Centre, Derby Road, Belper, Derbyshire DE56 1UU. They are usually held on Friday evenings at 7.30 pm.

There is plenty of parking at the venue which is close to the centre of Belper. Details of the meeting room number are usually listed on a board inside the main entrance, and we try to book a downstairs room whenever possible to aid accessibility for guests with mobility issues. Meetings start at 7.30pm (except AGM which starts earlier).
